STEP2.

Distraction undermines results. When you try to do too much at once, you can end up doing nothing well. Figure out what matters most in the moment and give it your undivided attention.

(p.55) Success is about doing the right thing, not about doing everything right.

Average of 66 days to acquire a new habit. It takes time to develop the right habit, so don't give up too soon. Decided what the right one is, then give yourself all the time you need and apply the discipline you can summon to develop it.

# Don't be a disciplined person.

be a person of powerful habits and use selected discipline to develop them.

#Willpower has a limited battery life

but can be recharged with some downtime.

#how to put willpower into work

timing is everything. So if you want to get the most out of your day, do your most important work - your ONE Thing-early, before your willpower is drawn down.

#time your task #목실감이랑 비슷한 맥락!

Do what matters most first each day when your willpower is strongest. Maximize strength willpower means maximum success.

#a balanced life is a lie #워라벨은 환상이다!

너무 맞는말 아닌가! pursing a balanced life means never pursuing anything at the extremes.

Knowing when to pursue the middle and when to pursue the extremes is in essence the true beginning of wisdom. Extraordinary results are achieved by this negotiation with your time. => Counterbalance!

=> To achieve an extraordinary result you must choose what matters most and give it all the time it demands. This requires getting extremely out of balance in relation to all other work issues, with only infrequent counterbalancing to address them.

ex) what's funny is "imagine life is a game in which you're juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends , and integrity. And you're keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls-family, health, friends, integrity - are made of glass. If you drop[ one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. => therefore questing of balance is really a question of priority.

#there is no such limit

(p.86) no one knows their ultimate ceiling for achievement, so worrying about it is a waste of time.

#dream big

(p.91) Big requires growth, and by the time you arrive, you're big too! Your thinking, your skills, your relationships, your sense of what is possible and what it takes all grow on the journey to big. As you experience big, you become big.

#blowing up your life

You must be open to the possibility that your life and what you accomplish can become great. Don't feat big. Only living big will let you experience your true life and work potential.

#appreciate

Success comes down to this: being appropriate in the moments of your life. If you can honestly say, “this is where I'm meant to be right now, doing exactly what I'm doing” then all the amazing possibilities for your life become possible.

#why we need to read a book

The research and experience of others is the best place to start when looking for answer.

#your daily life should

When our daily actions fulfill a bigger purpose, the most powerful and enduring happiness can happen.

#purpose

To be financially wealthy you must have a purpose for your life. In other words, without purpose, you'll never know when you have enough money, and you can never be financially wealthy. Happiness happends when you have a bigger purpose than having more fulfills, which is why we say happiness happends on the way to fulfillment

#time-blocking

The most successful people are the most productive people. So, do time-blocking. is a results-oriented way of viewing and using time. It's a way of making sure that what has to be done gets done.

#80/20 Principle

asserts that a minority of causes, inputs, or effort usually lead to a majority of the results, outputs, or rewards. In other words, in the world of success, things aren't equal. A small amount of causes creates most of the results. => that's thinking big, but going very small.

#Priorirty!!

There're will always be just a few things that matter more than the rest.  Regardless, doing the most important thing is always the most important thing.

STEP3.

- be a maker in the morning and a manager in the afternoon.

(p.16) Because extraordinary success is sequential, not simultaneous… The key is over time. Success is built sequentially. Its' one thing at a time.

(p.19) no one is self-made.

(p.20) Everyone has one person who either means the most to them or was the first to ifnlucence, train, or manage them. No one is succeeds alone. No one.

(p.21) Better results generally lead to more enjoyment, and more passion and more time is invested.

(p.184) Taking a complete ownership of your outcomes by holding no one but yourself responsible for them is the most powerful thing you can do to drive your success.

(p. 192) One-half of knowing what you want is knowing what you must give up before you get it.

(p. 204) Hanging out with people who week success will strengthen your motivation and positively push your performance.
